What is Restorative Yoga?
Feeling stressed or depleted?
Struggling with adrenal fatique?
Menopausal or difficulties with fertility or menstruation?
Have a very active exercise regimen?
Know you need to take better care of yourself?
Then Restorative yoga is the type of yoga for you, suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced students. It helps you to disconnect from the hectic pace of life. We use simple poses often held for longer periods of time but made extremely comfortable by using blankets and bolsters for support. From the very first pose the slow pace, deep relaxed breathing techniques used in class triggers the parasympathetic nervous system. This activation helps to mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight stress response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. The overall calming effect on the nervous system sets a deeply relaxing tone for the class that comforts your mind and body down to the cellular level. Reconnect and restore yourself in this class. For those you you with a very active exercise regime this is a perfect counter balance to stretch out and release muscular tension. These classes are blissful. "Cheryl is a knowledgeable and supportive teacher and her small and friendly classes have been a key part of my recovery from serious illness. I particularly love the relax and revive class - a wonderful weekly opportunity to reconnect with your body and soul" Sandra Russel
